THIS ENDLESS SEARCH FOR TERRESTRIAL INTELLIGENCE (December 2, 2011)

Why this endless search for terrestrial intelligence? Because every single trace of it has given me solace. It has made my life bearable, at least. And I am doing my best to offer solace in turn, if at all possible. I am eager to return the favor of the precious few, whose names would only clutter this impassioned reminder to myself. But this involves an enormous amount of searching, sifting, weighing. Separating the overwhelming dross from the fickle kernel. Whence all of my attempts to project my word into the world, as well. That is, an enormous amount of pondering, writing, publishing. I am painfully aware that most of what I am doing is sheer waste, but that is how it has always been and will forever remain. This endless search for terrestrial intelligence goes both ways. And so does the tremendous waste. Or so I keep reminding myself every single day of my life.
