THE TRAVESTY (April 25, 2011)

Easter Monday is a holiday in Croatia, devout as it is. The post office is closed. The Economist is out of my reach, but I cannot even swear about the travesty.

Addendum (April 26, 2011)

It is Tuesday. The post office is open at last. The only thing I found in my mailbox this morning was a postcard for my beloved and me from a dear Danish friend. But my favorite read did not make it to Motovun. Not yet. The postal service was disrupted by the Christian holiday. And I felt like swearing at the top of my voice all the way home.
