NICOTINE WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS (September 23, 2011)

I feel kind of lost in Zagreb this time around. At first I thought this had to do with the weather. It was much nicer in Istria yesterday morning, when I left, than it was in the capital of Croatia yesterday afternoon, when I arrived. Yesterday evening was on the cold side, as well. This morning is a bit nicer, but it is quite cold still. Then I thought my discomfiture had to do with my stomach, which had been bothering me most of the day yesterday. This morning I feel perfectly fine, though. It has taken me a while to realize that I was missing my pipe. The nicotine, that is. Having decided to quit smoking the pipe, the last couple of weeks I smoked like the proverbial Turk. Although I shared two cigars with my beloved yesterday afternoon and evening, my pipe is back in Motovun. And this is the only reason why I feel kind of lost in Zagreb. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the city. I feel kind of lost, period. In a nutshell, I am experiencing classical nicotine withdrawal symptoms.
