HOW I TRAVEL (June 26, 2011)

I have been traveling a great deal lately. India and Pakistan are my favorite destinations at the moment. How do I travel, though? I listen to music, my flying saucer. The best of music this world has to offer, too. At the moment, I listen to Nazakat and Salamat Ali Khan, a Pakistani duo.[1] Brothers, they are masters of the ancient art of courtly singing. Sitting in my livingroom, the shutters drawn to protect me from the summer heat and the glaring sun, I am transported to their distant land in a jiffy. No tickets. No baggage. No airplanes, trains, or buses. That is how I travel unencumbered once or twice a day. Sometimes even thrice, in fact. And I feel fortunate beyond measure. I am a seasoned world traveler at long last.
