GOLF DEVELOPMENT AND CORRUPTION (February 22, 2011)

When you search the World Wide Web for golf development and corruption, you quickly learn that the connection is not farfetched. And this is a global phenomenon, too. There is the Caribbean. There is Spain, of course. And now there is China. As is the case with many other things, China beats the rest of the world in terms of golf development. As well as corruption, it goes without saying. Your search will also bring you to Croatia, where my writings are among the most prominent. My letter to the Croatian president comes on top, but it is closely followed by my letter to the Istrian governor. Both focus on corruption by the highest government officials, as well. At any rate, it does not take long to learn that corruption is part and parcel of golf development across the globe. Government officials play a key rĂ´le in most of the scams. Again, the web is my witness. Now, how is it possible that I am having such a hard time pointing all of this out in Croatia?
