FEAR OF EXPOSURE (March 29, 2011)
I just learned that the film about golf, in the making of which I took part last summer, is to be screened on television in exactly three weeks (”The Screening,” February 1, 2011). The magical date is Tuesday, April 19. It will appear on prime time, too. One can never be certain of Croatian television, but I have been assured that the likelihood of another postponement is very low. Namely, the screening was already postponed a month or so ago, but this rarely happens twice. As it turns out, I will be in Motovun at the time. And my fear of exposure in the Croatian capital is therefore off the mark. Even though a few people may remember my face for several weeks, this will not be a problem on my next return to Zagreb at least a month after the screening. The day after was my main concern, when I was quite sure many people would have been staring at me wherever I went. Not on account of what I said, it goes without saying. My eyebrows would be a dead giveaway.
