BLESSED BY SUSAN BLACKMORE (February 16, 2011)
Susan Blackmore is back, as it were. Once again, her name pops up every once in a while since this morning (“The Ultimate Rebellion,” October 21, 2006; “Its Other Name,” April 2, 2008; and “Ricocheting,” December 5, 2010). And I feel thankful to her. Exceedingly thankful, as a matter of fact. Whenever I am accosted by yet another idea or project, I welcome it with all my heart only to merrily bid it goodbye a short while later. Whatever I manage to jot down in the meanwhile is the end of it, too. At least for a few weeks or months, it is out of my mind. Gone. My humble rebellion, enshrined as it is in my Residua. And blessed by Susan Blackmore, no less.
