What if my book became the book of books by some miracle? What if it turned out to be not only a collection of my own worldly remains, but also the one and only collection of remains of the entire world I had witnessed in my own time? What if its title were eventually taken to mean literally everything that could be known about the past? What if my book became the only available reference to all the books ever written, which would perish all together by some calamity? And what if I were to get a clear hint that all of the above would surely come to pass sooner or later, as well as that it was entirely up to me what the future generations would in time make of the past? Gosh, would I have my hands full for the rest of my days!
