THE TROUBLEMAKERS (February 7, 2014)

After roughly a year of serious problems with my sinuses, I think I have solved the puzzle. One of my upper teeth is the most likely cause. Although it does not hurt at all, an infection between the tooth and the gum surrounding it, which is known as a pocket, has now spread to one side of my palate. As I have discovered a few days ago, it is soft to the touch, for there is quite a bit of puss underneath the skin. I occasionally find bloody blotches on my pillow. The infection has also gotten through the bone forming the palate all the way to the sinuses. Having talked with my dentist a few days ago, I will have the tooth removed later this month, and I expect my sinus troubles to cease several weeks later. I am not happy about all this, but I m surely delighted to understand what is going on. There is no doubt in my mind, though, that teeth are among the most problematic parts of the human body. And one starts with no less than thirty-two of the troublemakers. The pits.
