THE FAMILIAR POP (January 31, 2014)
As of late, my beloved is working way too hard for my taste. And hers, as well. All sorts of things have piled up, and there is ever less time for sheer oblivion, her favorite pastime. Strong though she is, I have been worrying about her towering workload. Although it will come back to, as it were, normal in about a month, a whole month is still ahead of her. The best I can do for her under the circumstances is to buy yet another bottle of Champagne, which we have been enjoying quite often lately, and for the obvious reason. It is Friday afternoon, and the weekend is nigh. A bottle of Champagne will usher it this evening with the familiar pop, but the rest of it will be on the quiet side. Sheer oblivion is beckoning already. And my love for my beloved will only buttress it, I promise.
