REPEATING IN VAIN (December 7, 2014)
The meaning of life crosses my mind out of the blue, as it frequently does. It is nothing but the meaning you give it yourself. And so I keep repeating in vain.
Addendum (October 19, 2016)
Repeating in vain? Well, I have figured out the meaning of life many years ago. As far as I am concerned, it needs no repeating. This haiku is about my beloved, though. That is, our relationship. No matter how often I repeat to her that the only meaning of her life is the one she gives it herself, she remains unimpressed. Actually, she appears ever more annoyed by my impertinence. In short, she still believes that life has some meaning that will come her way as if by miracle. Which never ceases to impress me, I must admit. After so many millennia of search for the meaning of life, it remains a mystery to all concerned. Well, almost all concerned.
