Alas, our tenth marriage anniversary skipped my mind last night, but I am still proud of our certificate, signed without any meddling by either church or state!

Addendum (February 28, 2014)

We closed our anniversary splendidly last night. And in the kitchen, of all places. I started worrying about the neighbors at some point, but we ultimately managed to keep our celebration within bounds of decency. As soon as we woke up this morning, I congratulated my beloved once again. We are sure to remember our tenth anniversary with relish. As for both church and state, they can go fly a kite.
