BLOATED STOMACH AND HEART PALPITATIONS (February 25, 2014)
The last year or so, I have been suffering from a bloated stomach that sometimes leads to heart palpitations. Months ago, I searched the World Wide Web, and I discovered that the vagus nerve, also known as the pneumogastric nerve, might be behind this connection. It controls many internal organs, including the heart. A bloated stomach can excite the vagus nerve, which may lead to heart publications. But why is my stomach bloated every now and then? I have a premonition that this has to do with my sinuses. Willy-nilly, I am swallowing a huge amount of gook that comes from the inflammation in the sinuses. The bacteria that come to my stomach must spoil the balance between the bacteria there, which leads to bloating. Now, the connection between my teeth and my sinuses completes the picture (“Damned Sinuses,” February 24, 2014). Simply put, a rotten tooth leads to sinus problems that lead to bloating and heart palpitations. Now, imagine talking about such a “theory” to a medical doctor! He or she would ridicule you at best. Nonetheless, I am pretty convinced in it. And thus I can hardly wait for my sinus problems to subside after the tooth extraction yesterday. The bloating of the stomach and heart palpitations will disappear as if by magic, I bet. Eat your hearts out, doctors!
