BEYOND ME (June 14, 2014)
Today’s weather is a surprise even to myself, an astute observer of its every twist and turn. Some rain was expected in the afternoon, but it turned out to be much stronger than the morning clouds suggested. Around noon, there was much sunshine, too. Although the rain started in the early afternoon as an innocent drizzle, which would pass away soon enough, it ended up no less than torrential less than an hour later. And then there came a strong but cold wind that drove the temperature down by some fifteen degrees Celsius. It was the old bora, which appeared without any warning. After twelve years in Motovun, I found the pace of change flabbergasting. To wit, the weather was beyond me. I had no idea what would come next, that is. Which is perhaps the best way to make this long story short. The weather is beyond me. I have no idea what will come next. Enough said.
