“THE RIDDLE OF BLACK AMERICA’S RISING WOES UNDER OBAMA” (October 13, 2014)

Thus the Financial Times today. “Those who have fared worst under this president are the ones who love him most,” elaborates the newspaper. Riddle, what riddle? The central states that feared the first black president most did their best to throttle the blacks in their midst. They did not want any surprises. Conservative to boot, these states were given wings in their hatred of all races except their own. Given the sharp divide between republicans and democrats left by the Bush administration, the Obama administration has been powerless on issues of race. Precisely where he was expected to do the most, greatest defenses were built in a hurry. In fact, the new president was powerless even before he came to power. Besides, the race relations in America have been so dire for so long that no president could do anything to mend them. It is good to remember how blacks came to America in the first place. The country will thus remain divided on color no matter what. If there is any hope in the long run, it is in racial intermingling. In about a hundred generations, black and white America will perforce be indistinguishable, as will be yellow America. Bingo! Any other solution to the racial strife is a pipedream.
