“EU LEADERS PICK JUNCKER” (June 28, 2014)
Thus The Wall Street Journal today. “EU leaders nominated former (sic) Jean-Claude Juncker as president of the European Commission, the EU’s executive, in a vote that could further push the UK to the bloc’s fringes,” elaborates the newspaper. Although I am no fan of David Cameron, who has done his best not to allow the federalist to the helm of the Union, I am kind of happy about the “democratic” choice precisely because it will help Britain out of the moribund concoction of nations going under Europe’s name. The newspaper’s boo-boo only adds to my glee. I hope that many other countries will soon follow Britain. Enough said at this point. Everything else will become clearer to the European electorate in just a few years. Amen.
