“ARE WOMEN BETTER DECISION MAKERS?” (October 19, 2014)

Thus The New York Times today. “When stressed, men are more prone to taking risky bets with little payoff,” explains the newspaper. The byline does not mention how women behave under stress, but the title says it all. Women are better decision makers, of course. Much better, too. In other words, the whole of history is one big mistake. Those risky bets with little payoffs are the proof. Only remember so many horrendous wars that punctuate the human endeavor to this day. Had women been at the helm for the last five-thousand years or so, everything would have been entirely different. Only secure bets with high payoffs would have ruled for millennia. And so on, and so forth. No prize for guessing the gender of the writer of this lofty article. Secure bets with high payoffs, no doubt whatsoever.
