As it happens, today is the Day of Youth of Tito’s cozy era. Once upon a time, it was celebrated as his hallowed birthday, too. Today’s youth is as different from the youth I can still remember as the erstwhile holiday is nowadays remote. And totally incomprehensible. Physical punishment is so far from their daily lot, they cannot even fathom it, let alone condone it to their benefit. Bemused by their petty cockiness, silly as it is, I cannot but relish the innocent surprise I can easily imagine on their pretty faces when things turn against the hapless tenderfoot. Wham! And wham again!
