First impressions of Ilovik? To begin with, it is a bitch to get on the island. Predictably enough, this is its greatest advantage, as well. At the height of the tourist season, the place is nearly empty. But the greatest feature of the island is that it is free of cars. Although every tourist guide briefly touches on this, it is still a great joy to spend a few days in an environment untouched by this curse of our civilization. This island is thus a place where one can appreciate the world as it once was. As well as the world as it will eventually become. In so many years, the whole world will again be just like Ilovik has always been. Hooray!
