BETTER SCATTERBRAINED THAN UNCOUTH (September 28, 2009)
There are few people in Motovun, but many of them I see every single day. And some of them I see several times each day. Whenever I bump into any one of them, I have to figure out—and rather promptly, too—whether or not I have already wished them a good day on an earlier occasion the very same day. When in doubt, and in doubt I am day after day, I always err on the safe side. Better scatterbrained than uncouth is my trusted motto. And it has served me well to this day.
