VERY LIKE HOME (December 26, 2008)
Once again I dreamt that I was back at MIT. And in two installments. First I dreamt that an office was being refurbished for me. There were pots of paint and all sorts of tools in it when a secretary showed it to me. I do not remember much about the office itself, except that I felt good about being back. Then I dreamt that I was talking to an MIT class about an upcoming exam. I was explaining what it would cover and what its objectives were. Again, I remember only that one of the students got a bit upset with me. Apparently quite bright, he had a bush of blond, curly hair. He was about to become an electronic engineer, and he felt that the exam I was talking about did not take into account the difficulties that the electronics industry faced in the present economic downturn. His complaint evaporated by the time I woke up, though. Still, the good feeling stayed with me when I woke up again. The Institute felt very like home that it once used to be.
