Early this afternoon I walked out of the house with high hopes. I had a hunch the spring was already here. I expected to see the first tourist crowds milling around Motovun. It is the first day of the weekend, after all. But the spring is not yet with us. Not quite. Although it is kind of sunny, a chilling breeze makes it hard to sit out in the open for more than a few minutes. Next weekend, then. For my hunch about the spring cannot be off by more than a few days. Or at most a week.
