NEW CONTACT LENSES (October 21, 2007)
I got new contact lenses. The technology has improved considerably since 2003, when I got a whole batch of lenses, each pair of which lasted a year. Each pair of the new lenses lasts only three months, but they come in a batch of four each. One bad thing about the new lenses is that they are quite a bit thinner than the old ones, thus making them much more difficult to handle. They fold, crumple, and wrinkle at every touch. And one good thing about them is that I can now see much better even though I still have the same prescription. Oh, I forgot another bad thing about the new lenses: now I look much older. Just like the new lenses, my face now folds, crumples, and wrinkles at every glimpse.
