MADE FOR EACH OTHER (November 21, 2007)

“Congratulations,” opens effusively the manual that came together with my new computer, “you and your iMac were made for each other.” Really? I can turn it on alright, and I can push a few files around the screen, but that is about all I can actually do. The most important thing at the moment, getting connected to the World Wide Web, is entirely beyond me. No cable I can find fits into any plug anywhere on the new computer, either. Mind you, my old computer is an iMac, too, and I am pretty crafty with it after so many years of friendship. If my new iMac and I were indeed made for each other, it is only so we can smile at each other happily. Platonic love, I reckon.
