Would a lion ever sit down to record its experiences?

A lion would not, to be sure. Ever. Neither would a mouse, though. Nor a cockroach, for that matter. Come to think of it, a cockroach would be the last of the three to record its experiences. Once again, it is the envy of animals that entices me to extend this wonderful piece. At the risk of despoiling its exemplary terseness, I would like to add that my envy grows with the distance down the vaunted evolutionary tree. Indeed, a bacterium would be the least likely of all creatures to sit down to record its experiences. The evolution sucks, all right.
