Istria used to be covered by a tight web of bus lines. No longer. Too many people have cars for the bus lines to be profitable. One by one, most of the lines have been cut. As a consequence, even more people now drive. However, local buses are still in service during the school season. One of the few people here who does not drive, I can move around Istria with greater ease when the kids are in school. Tomorrow is the first day of school. Soon enough I will be off, too.
