HOMAGE TO YOU KNOW WHOM (May 28, 2003)

I am watching a kid of about sixteen riding his bike around the garden in the back of my house. He is pedaling very slowly, but the garden is not meant for bikes. From time to time he takes a sip from a can of Coke. His bunch is not around and he is bored stiff. He is wearing a red baseball hat and Nike clothing. His bike seems to be on the expensive side. He strikes me as a kid who has a mobile phone, too. After three or four leisurely rounds of the garden, he takes the last sip and tosses the can into the bushes. The British youth in a nutshell. No wonder I reach for my pistol as soon as I hear of the British youth.
