DIRTY LAUNDRY (December 1, 2003)

If a bit dusty, my house is always tidy: dishes never pile up, shoes and clothes are in the closet, garbage is regularly emptied, clutter does not gather in dark corners, books are on the shelves… Dirty laundry never festers, either. As soon as the hamper on the top landing starts filling up, I fire up the washing machine. This is how it always is and that is pretty much that. But I am not bragging here. Rather, I am a bit annoyed with myself. Imagine, this morning I did a load of laundry, and now I feel ever-so-slightly victorious. Silly old creep!
