Just like Christmas before it, Valentine’s Day is going down the tube. It has been getting worse for years, but this year is definitely the worst. And there is a long way to go still, I am sure. The pink that goes with the holiday makes me cringe, let alone the crap it adorns. Just like Christmas before it, Valentine’s Day is making people anxious. Does anyone love me? Will I die loveless? The price of commercialization, I guess. The only question is what holiday is next on its relentless march. Mother’s and Father’s Day are getting there already. And then? Easter? Jewish and Muslim holidays? Perhaps a touch of Hindu religion, too?
