Kids across the globe are now blaming the babyboomers, or simply boomers, for the climate crisis. Predictably enough, all the blame will go to a single group of humans, just like Jews a century ago. Without those to point their fingers at, and with rancor, humans are lost in space. The fact that climate change and environmental degradation go many centuries and even millennia back will be shoved under the proverbial rug. The whole species is actually to blame even though my gargantuan generation has undoubtedly contributed a good deal to the current crisis (“My Fucking Generation,” January 16, 2015). But those already dead are useless when it comes to blame, let alone tangible revenge. And babyboomers can be found everywhere around Europe and North America—the richest parts of the world. Quite a few of them are well to do, too. When the shit hits the fan, they will be hounded with relish. “Kill boomers,” the youngsters will scream at the top of their voices whenever they will spot an elderly man or woman (“Their Birthright,” October 28, 2019). Blaming the babyboomers will give them wings till their last breath. Kill, kill, kill…
