Something funny happened to me a short while ago. I went to a pharmacy in the neighborhood of my beloved’s apartment building and ordered resveratrol and olive oil by Solgar. “This is what I buy regularly,” I explained with a smile and pointed at a shelf behind the counter where my favorite food supplements were lined up. The pharmacist behind the counter was confused, though. She gave me resveratrol, but she had no idea what else I wanted. “Olive oil,” I repeated, and in loud English. After a pause, she raised her eyebrows: “Is it fish oil you actually want?” And then I started laughing. “I live in Istria,” I explained, “and I hear about olive oil all the time!” The pharmacist chuckled, as well. “Now I understand,” she said as she fetched fish oil by Solgar for me. “Who knows,” I mumbled under my breath on my way out of the pharmacy, “this may be an interesting idea for Solgar…” With some luck, Istria may be into much money with its precious oil. After all, fish oil is also a concentrate.
