SMALL VICTORIES GALORE (March 5, 2015)
I just wrote and posted on my Residua website the sixty-eighth addendum written this year, and the number immediately struck me as propitious. Indeed, that is my present age. Most important, only sixteen addenda extend pieces written this year, while the rest of them stretch across many a year. Some of them go all the way to the first couple of decades of my magnum opus. On further thought, this year is likely to end up pretty special, for I am quite likely to break my present record in terms of the number of addenda written per year. I wrote two-hundred and twenty-four of them in 2000, but a new record is already in sight. Judging by my present pace, I will have around three-hundred addenda by the end of this year. And I feel the new record in my bones already. In terms of small victories, they are piling up as of late. Soon I will boast of small victories galore.
