This is a special day in my life. After careful consideration of all the consequences of which I am aware, I am ready for a momentous vow. I hereby swear that I will write about climate change and environmental degradation never again. Not a word. Looking back, I have already written all there is to write on this subject (“What is to Be Done?” July 25, 2014). The only deviation from this vow that I will allow myself is an occasional addendum extending an existing piece of writing on climate change and environmental degradation.
