North Korea is in the news. The supreme leader not only had his minister of defense publicly executed, but the weapons used were antiaircraft guns, no less. Wow! There is much disbelief in the media, but the news seem to be genuine. Given all the givens, one cannot but rejoice at the supreme leader’s choice of execution weapons. And one cannot but hope that future executions will be even more spectacular and thus memorable. What could be wrong with aerial bombs or ground-to-ground missiles? Or tactical nuclear bombs? Nothing, of course. The supreme leader is on the young side still, and his imagination is sure to soar in the years to come. The executions will be ever more spectacular, no doubt. And the news of his latest brainchild will be brewing the world over. Hey, I can smell the future, the North Korean minister of the interior will be lifted into orbit never to return!
