NORMAL IS BORING (December 5, 2015)

Thus a sign in silver lettering on the chest of a pink blouse worn by a girl of nine or ten sitting at a neighboring table in a Zagreb restaurant. And in English. While her parents, her grandmother, and an elder sister of hers keep talking over their lunch, she plays a game on her mobile phone. She rarely looks up, let alone exchanges a few words with her family. Normal is boring, indeed. Luckily, boring children are disappearing at a clip. Soon enough, there will be hardly any of them left in this world. Equipped with mobile phones, all the children will be playing games day in and day out.
