FUCK CAPITALISM (February 23, 2015)

Shopping is not my cup of tea. If I need any product, I go to the nearest shop that carries it, head straight for what I want to buy, pick it up from the shelf, and walk to the cashiers. Thus I stick to the few products that suit my needs. The same holds for food, drink, housecleaning supplies, bathroom supplies, clothing, shoes, knapsacks, writing supplies, electronic devices, garden supplies, and even books. Once I find a product that suits me fine, I never change it. Except when it disappears from the shelves, that is. Sadly, the products I like the best disappear so regularly that I feel like lodging a complaint. And a loud one. There is much talk about how markets cater to our needs, as well as how they are the best at it. In my own experience, that is sheer rubbish, for I am forced to search for new products time and again simply because those I like the best have disappeared from the market. By and by, I am getting tired of the misery. Fuck capitalism. It does not work. And I am speaking from my own experience with the market rather than my ruminations about lofty ideas—such as freedom, equality, and brotherhood. As I have lived long enough and all over the world, I am pretty sure of my verdict. The market is a failure. Period. And no prize for guessing whence this piece.
