CHAMOMILE TEA (February 5, 2015)

In my protracted battle with alcohol, now I drink quite a few cups of green tea every day (“Green Tea,” February 4, 2014). More than three cups of green tea a day may lead to new problems with health, though. For this reason, I now drink one or two cups of chamomile tea every day. A quick search on the World Wide Web points at many benefits of the beverage. It reduces insomnia and other sleep disorders, anxiety and panic attacks, muscle twitches, and a wide variety of stomach problems, such as cramps and inflammations. On top of all this, it can be used to treat wounds, burns, and scrapes, as well as a good number of skin problems, such as psoriasis and eczema. The only side effect that may apply in my case could be drowsiness. In addition, chamomile tea is practically the only one on offer that comes without any other ingredients. Although every beverage should be used with moderation, I am starting to wonder about my new habit of drinking green tea. What would be wrong if I switched to chamomile tea altogether? A good question, this.
