“GREECE, A FINANCIAL ZOMBIE STATE” (June 12, 2015)
Thus The New York Times today. “European officials need to produce a realistic plan to revive the country’s devastated economy,” explains the newspaper. True enough. Reviving the economy of Greece is the order of the day. How is a tough question, for revival is beyond the economists at this stage. Who is an even tougher question, though. There are zillions of them, and they are very well paid for their services, but the European officials mentioned in the byline are not up to the task. They are not up to any task, for that matter. The main problem with Greece is that it is a member of a zombie union, for the European Union cannot be defined in any more precise words. The way things stand, the best that Greece can hope for is for the German officials to produce a realistic plan to revive its economy. If only they would ever stoop to such an awful task. In the meanwhile, Greece will drift toward the Russian Federation. Orthodox Christianity will provide the soothing lubricant, but Putin will see to the rest. He is a pro at such matters, and Russia is surrounded by zombie states, financial and otherwise. Easy-peasy.
