“FACEBOOK GIVES THUMBS-UP TO DISLIKES” (September 16, 2015)

Thus the Financial Times today. “Zuckerberg says users will be able to show disagreement or hate,” elaborates the newspaper. Wow! I was truly amazed to read such crap in one of the foremost financial newspapers in the world. I know that thumbs-down or “dislikes” have been debated quite vociferously for years already, and I know that Facebook’s decision will mean a great deal to many zombies on this planet, but the connection with finance is beyond me. Which only shows my age, I guess. But it also shows the age of this moribund civilization of ours. It is in its final gasps. Following the tradition that goes all the way to good old Roman times, I give it my thumbs down. Let it perish without a trace!
