Thus the Financial Times today. “Joylessness in business and productivity slowdown,” elaborates the newspaper. Jacques Attali comes to my mind at once. And my heart goes to him, too. Poor fellow. A title and byline such as these must be hard on the greatest optimist of them all, at least in terms of the subcontinent’s economic future. Alas, let us hope for better news any time soon, if for no other reason, then for Attali’s sake. Go Europe, go!
